Take on spring season in a chic way

Throw in some pop colours, mix up fashion pieces and accessorise smartly to welcome the spring season in style.

Former supermodel Twiggy shares top tips for the spring/summer season, reports mirror.co.uk:

* Accessorise in style: If a bright pink dress is too much for you, think about investing in a colourful handbag or fun accessories. A striking scarf or statement necklace, especially in animal prints, pastel colours and metallics are good to go too.

* Sleek tuxedo: Bored of dresses? A sleek tuxedo is a great alternative. Slip into a figure-hugging jacket with a silk lapel. Wear with matching trousers or dress it down with leggings or jeans.

* Mix it up: Wear vintage pieces with high street trends and then something from one of your favourite designers. None of it has to be expensive. This will create a unique and eclectic look.

* Don't be afraid of leather: Leather made a seriously fashionable comeback a few years ago and it looks like it's here to stay. Look for pencil skirts, dresses, jackets and trousers on the high street in black, nude and brighter hues.
