A 15-year-old boy was strangulated to death by some unidentified people after he resisted a robbery attempt in his house, police said Sunday.
"Guddu, a Class 10 student, was spotted by a relative in his house at Ranhaula area in west Delhi Saturday night. He was tied to a concrete pillar and was unconscious," said a police officer.
His relatives rushed him to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police said the room had been ransacked and robbery seemed to be the motive for the murder. The accused had used a gas cylinder rubber pipe to strangle Guddu.
Police suspect the role a tenant, 22-year-old Sonu, who is missing after the incident.
"We are investigating the case," the officer said.
