Ten killed in Beirut suicide bombings

At least 10 people were killed and over 30 others injured in twin suicide bombings that rocked the Burj el-Barajneh region here in Lebanon on Thursday, officials said.

"A suicide bomber exploded himself near a small snack bar on the main street of Burj el-Barajneh and after seven minutes another bomber exploded himself near the main mosque of the region," a security source told Xinhua.

The security forces have cordoned off the areas and the civil defence teams are evacuating the injured to nearby hospitals, the source added.
