Arsenal legend Thierry Henry's fast completion of the UEFA A license course has received severe criticism with some saying that the course is biased "towards a certain few".

The 1998 World Cup winner qualified earlier this month, but a few others studying the same course believe that the Frenchman would have barely had the time to complete his B licence. The A grade requires candidates to put in 180 hours over a year-long period.

Will Foley, a Scottish coach studying for the same, said that it is not humanly possible for Henry to get a UEFA A licence certificate.

"There was no way humanly possible Thierry had even completed his UEFA B licence and could have finished all his assessments and tasks on the A licence when everyone else participating on the course has not even had the chance," Foley was quoted as saying by the Mirror on Tuesday.

He also believes that the Welsh Football Association are favouring big names.

"They are quite openly putting certain chosen names through the courses without completing the so-called allotted number of hours which all the candidates have to be seen to be doing. The big names get an easy ride while the others have to do it the hard way," he said.
