Three women from Uzbekistan and five Indian men, including the operator of a guest house here, have been arrested for their alleged involvement in prostitution, police said Friday.
A police team headed by inspector Ashok Dagar and sub-inspector Rani Devi Thursday night raided a lodge in sector 39 and arrested the eight.
Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Rajesh Sharma sent five of them -- Deepak, Amit, Vikas and Narender, all between 21 and 25 years, and Pankaj, in his early 40 -- to judicial custody for 14 days, police said.
The accused include the lodge operator Deepak, who hails from Hyderabad.
Also taken into custody were three Uzbekistan women, 23-25 years old, who lived in Delhi, police officer Dagar told IANS.
The same lodge was raided by police March 4 when nine people, including four women from Delhi, were arrested for prostitution, an officer said.
