Three distinguished writers from the northeastern region have made it to the list of the prestigious Sahitya Akademi awards this year, officials said on Thursday.
While Indian Police Service officer Kula Saikia was selected for his short story collection "Akashar Chobi Aru Ananya Golpo", popular Bodo language poet Brojendra Kumar Brahma was selected for his book "Baidi Dengkhw Baidi Gab".
Manipur-based poet Kshetri Ahingna was selected for his collected poems titled "Ahingna Yekshilliba Mang".
