Three people have been arrested for carrying drugs valued at Rs.35 lakh in the international market, police said on Saturday.
"Three drug traffickers were arrested in two separate raids for carrying five kg charas (cannabis) and 125 gm heroin," Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime Branch), Ravindra Yadav said.
Dinesh Kumar, 30, Vinod Kumar, 42, and Mushtaq Ahmad, 32, were arrested by the narcotics cell of Crime Branch on Wednesday.
Dinesh and Vinod were arrested from Nand Nagri in east Delhi with five kg charas (cannabis) worth Rs.25 lakh, while Ahmad was held from Anand Vihar bus terminus with 125 gm heroin valued at Rs.10 lakh.
"Dinesh and Vinod were involved in supply of charas in Delhi from Uttarakhand while Ahmad used to supply heroin from Badaun (Uttar Pradesh) to Delhi," the official said.
