A teenager and two children were killed on Wednesday after being struck by lightning in Uttar Pradesh's Lalitpur district, while ten people sustained minor injuries in the incident, officials said.
The deceased were identified as Harshita (6), Vishnu (4) and Vaijanti (16)
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, while condoling the death of children, conveyed his sympathies to the bereaved families and also expressed hope for early recovery to those injured.
He also directed district officials to ensure prompt and proper treatment for the injured.
According to information provided by the district administration, a financial assistance of Rs 4 lakh is being given to the families of the deceased and those sustaining minor injuries will get Rs 4,500 each.
