Three members of a family - a man, his wife and their minor daughter - were Monday found dead in their home near the Goa capital, police said.
Police said Ashok Naik, his wife Nutan and their 12-year-old daughter could have collectively committed suicide by hanging themselves from a rafter in their home in Cumbharjua, 15 km from Panaji.
Investigating officials, referring to statements from the deceased's neighbours, said the Naiks were depressed following the death of their son three weeks back.
"Their bodies were found tied to ropes suspended from the roof. It looks like a clear case of suicide, but we are yet to complete the probe. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination," a police official said.
