Three people killed in Pakistan blast

At least three people, including a woman and a security official, were killed and six injured Tuesday in a blast targeting a convoy of the Frontier Corps (FC) in Pakistan, media reported.

The convoy was carrying a high-ranking military official to Peshawar Tuesday, Dawn online reported.

Brigadier Khalid Javed, who was the target of the attack, narrowly escaped the explosion and is safe, Ijaz Khan, Peshawar capital city police officer, told reporters.

He added that those killed include a woman, an FC official and a passerby.

The explosives were planted in a car.
