Tihar jail authorities Wednesday submitted a medical report of ex-parliamentarian Dhananjay Singh's wife Jagriti Singh, accused in a case of maid torture, which says that she is having gall stones and has only one kidney.
Jagriti's counsel P.K. Dubey, while seeking interim bail, had told the court that she was suffering stones in the gall bladder and she needed to undergo surgery for her ailment due to her deteriorating medical condition.
Additional Sessions Judge Lokesh Kumar Sharma, who was on a visit to Tihar Jail for inspection Wednesday, fixed Oct 9 for further hearing.
The Jail authorities filed the report on the medical condition of Jagriti Singh on the court's order.
Dhananjay Singh, accused along with his wife in connection with the alleged murder of their maid, was chargesheeted Feb 1 for various offences, including destroying evidence and abetting murder and attempt to murder.
