Tokyo, Sep 13 (IANS/EFE) Japanese art collective TeamLab Inc. has come up with an interactive garden of computer-generated images of flowers that emerge, grow, wither and fall to the ground when you touch them on a giant screen.

"For us, the Japanese, the concept of beauty is very attached to perishable things like flowers. These are also a symbol of harmony. With this garden we have combined two things," TeamLab director Toshiyuki Inoko said Friday during its inauguration.

The renowned digital artist also revealed that his inspiration was the series of Flora Gucci prints.

"Viewers are part of the work" because when they touch the screen it produces a reaction and everything changes, he said.

Toshiyuki's creations range from giant murals like "Tokyo Tower Skytree" to permanent installations such as "Vortex of Water Particles" at Narita Airport, as well as objects that include smart hangers or children's toys.

The display can be seen till Sep 29 at the Gucci store in Tokyo's Shinjuku district.
