A sessions court here on Thursday granted bail to former Delhi law minister Jitender Singh Tomar in a fake degree case.
Additional Sessions Judge Vimal Kumar Yadav bailed out Tomar on furnishing a personal bond of Rs.50,000 and a surety of the like amount.
The court directed him not to leave Delhi without prior permission and join investigation whenever required.
Tomar was arrested on June 9 on charges of forgery, cheating and criminal conspiracy. He was sent in judicial custody till July 20.
He sought bail on the ground that since probe in the case was over, he could not be kept in jail.
