Toonz content and animation company will acquire 100 percent stake in Spain's leading production and distribution company Imira Entertainment, a statement said Monday.
P. Jayakumar, Toonz CEO and Sergi Reitg, Imira Entertainment CEO announced it at the MIPCOM 2014, the global market for entertainment content organised in Cannes city, France.
The agreement allows Imira to continue as a separate production and distribution entity with its existing management structure, but they will jointly exploit the opportunities and synergies created by the acquisition to offer combined content creation strength and global distribution.
Imira is a producer and distributor of youth programmes and its productions incorporate the latest technologies for cross media exploitation (TV, video, licensing, merchandising, mobile phones and publishing).
