A senior member of the Communist Party of China has been removed from office over suspected serious disciplinary violations, the party has said.
Xinhua said Jiang Jiemin is the head of the state-owned assets supervision and administration commission of the state council, and the deputy secretary of the communist party's central committee.
The official website of the party's central commission for discipline inspection and the ministry of supervision said Jiang was being investigated over such violations.
