Automobile manufacturer Toyota Thursday unveiled its first crossover vehicle Etios Cross at the 12th Auto Expo here.
According to the company, the new variant will add to the existing models of the passenger vehicle which includes Etios Liva and Liva 1.5 Sportiovo.
"Etios was launched in India with a vision to offer the Indian market a quality Toyota vehicle at an affordable price. As this vehicle category has been increasingly growing, the needs of the customers have also diversified," said Akio Nishimura, chief engineer, Etios, Toyota Motor Corporation.
The Cross will be available in three engine options: 1.5-litre petrol that produces 90bhp, 1.2-litre petrol with an output of 80bhp and 1.4-litre diesel with a maximum power figure of 68bhp.
The company said the price of the new model will be announced in May 2014.
