At least 10 Hindu pilgrims were killed and nearly a dozen injured Monday morning when they were run over by a speeding train in Bihar's Kharaia district, police said.
A police official confirmed the death of 10 Hindu pilgrims (Kanwariyas) when the Rajya Rani Express train ran over them as they were trying to cross the railway track at the Dhamara railway station on the Saharsa-Mansi rail route of the East Central Railway.
"The accident took place when pilgrims were trying to cross the railway track after alighting from a local train," he said.
