Train services from Bannihal town of Jammu and Kashmir's Ramban district in to the Baramulla town in the Kashmir Valley will remain suspended on Saturday during Prime Minister Narendra Modi's daylong visit, officials said.
Railway authorities said here that no train will operate between Bannihal and Baramulla town in the Valley due to security reasons.
Meanwhile, both venues where the prime minister will hold public meetings - Chanderkote in Ramban and the Sher-e-Kashmir cricket stadium in Srinagar were sealed on Friday evening after the Special Protection Group (SPG) commandos took these over.
"All roads leading to the Chanderkote function area and the Sher-e-Kashmir stadium have been closed for traffic and pedestrian movement," said a senior police officer.
State Deputy Chief Minister Nirmal Singh on Friday visited Chanderkote to review the arrangements for Modi's visit.
Modi will also address people in Chanderkote during inauguration of phase two of Baglihar power project and four-laning of Udhampur-Ban nihal stretch of Jammu-Srinagar national highway.
He will arrive in Srinagar at 11.30 a.m., address the public rally at 12 noon and will leave for Chanderkote at 1 p.m.
Heavy deployments of police, paramilitary forces have been made in Srinagar where restrictions will continue on Saturday in seven police station areas to foil the separatist-called protest march.
Independent legislator Engineer Rashid said on Friday that he will carry out a protest against the prime minister tomorrow.
The army has been assigned peripheral security duties during Modi's visit, both outside Srinagar city and on the mountain heights overlooking Chanderkote town.
