Trezeguet likely to stay off the field in Kolkata

French World Cup winning striker David Trezeguet is likely to sit out his side FC Pune City's Indian Super League engagement with Atletico de Kolkata here Friday.

A source said the management was considering not fielding the club's marqee player on the Salt Lake Stadium's artificial turf, which has caused injury to a number of players.

"It is a very long tournament, after all," the source said.
