A wreath laying ceremony was held on Sunday in Srinagar to pay tribute to a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) officer who was killed in a militant attack on Saturday.
Wreaths were laid on the body of Assistant Sub-Inspector Sahab Shukla who was killed when militants attack a CRPF vehicle in Pantha Chowk area on the Srinagar-Jammu Highway.
Survived by wife and children, Shukla belonged to Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh.
Senior civil, paramilitary and police officers including state Chief Secretary B.B. Vyas, DGP S.P. Vaid paid their respect to the late officer.
