Two people snatched a Triumph motorcycle from a 60-year-old man at knife point on the busy Mehrauli-Gurgaon (MG) road on Friday, Gurgaon police said.
The hiest occurred around 5.30 a.m. when Kapil Sayal was heading towards Delhi's Bhairon temple on his Triumph bike, which has a starting price of over Rs.6 lakh.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (east) Deepak Saharan said the snatching incident took place early in the morning in front of Sahara Mall on MG road.
Sayal is a writer by profession.
"He was riding a red colour Triumph bike HR 26 CL 3356. Two persons allegedly came in a car and stopped him. They asked him about his motorcycle and then forcibly took it away at knife point. They fled towards Mehrauli," the officer said.
A case has been registered under Section 379 B of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) at DLF Phase 2 police station and investigations are on.
