The release of singer Tulisa Contostavlos' debut novel has been reportedly delayed by the publishing house.

The 25-year-old's novel is said to be based on the life of a young girl and published by Headline Publishing Group.

"When Tulisa signed a book deal with Headline there were provisional plans made to release a debut novel in autumn 2013," dailystar.co.uk quoted Contostavlos' spokesperson as saying.

"However, a decision was made earlier this year to continue work on the novel, with the view to releasing the book at a later date," the representative added.
