Actor Anuj Sachdeva, who is known for his roles in TV shows like "Phir Subah Hogi" and "Chhanchhan", says the small screen has definitely progressed in terms of content.
Anuj, who will now be seen in Bollywood film "Love Shagun", told IANS: "TV has definitely progressed from where we started."
"We are now willing to tell stories differently, for instance 'Siya Ke Ram' is 'Ramayan' told from Sita's perspective. So, it's nice to see that makers are thinking of newer ways," he added.
However, Anuj feels that TV channels should stay away from Television Rating Points (TRP).
"I wish we could get rid of the TRP's so that we can make shows that we want. Also, finite series are a better option because you know the beginning and end clearly," he said.
Directed by Saandesh Nayak, "Love Shagun" also features Nidhi Subbaiah, Shamin Mannan among others. It is scheduled to release on February 26.
