Police in Jammu Friday arrested two people on charges of raping a woman.
A senior police officer told IANS that the woman had gone to the fields to collect fodder when two persons overpowered her and raped her.
He said, "Hearing the woman's screams, residents nabbed the culprits and handed them over to Gharota police where a case of rape was registered. The medical examination of the victim has been carried out and forensic evidence is being collected."
Meanwhile, police sealed a home for mentally challenged women Thursday after complaints that five female inmates were sexually exploited there.
Police arrested two more people in this connection Friday. The home's director and the security guard were arrested Thursday.
