Police on Thursday detained two men on charges of printing fake VVIP passes for Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's visit to Ghaziabad.
They were identified as Rahul Goel and Dheeraj Sharma.
The police took them into custody from near a cafe in Gandhinagar. A printer was recovered from Goel's possession, a police officer said.
Ajay Sharma, the Ghaziabad city President of the BJP, filed a FIR alleging Goel and Sharma had printed fake VVIP passes for Adityanath's public meeting here on Thursday.
"We are investigating the case," said Inspector Vinod Pandey.
