Two people were killed on Tuesday in Uttar Pradesh after consuming spurious liquor, police said.
Angry at the death of the two youths, locals came out on to the streets and set the liquor vend on fire following which police had to use force to disperse the mob.
The dead youths have been identified as Maneesh and Manoj, both residents of Bangla village in Moradabad. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination.
Police personnel have been posted in the village to keep a check on the situation.
Officials told IANS that a probe has been ordered into the quality of the country-made liquor.
