Two persons were arrested for allegedly trying to exchange a huge amount of fake currency notes in Kolkata on Thursday.
"Two youths were arrested from Baguihati for trying to exchange fake currency notes of Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 of total face value of Rs 12.5 lakh on Thursday," an officer from Baguihati police station said.
The car used to carry the cash was also seized.
"The two accused would be presented in court on Friday," the police officer said.
