At least two people, including a woman, were injured in a low intensity explosion in a motorbike at a parking lot here Thursday, officials said.
The cause of the blast at the parking lot opposite the Farazkhana police station was not yet clear.
Police, an anti-terrorism squad, bomb disposal teams and a dog squad have been deployed to investigate the blast.
Police Commissioner Satish Mathur said some sort of explosive device may have been used, but only the investigation would reveal more details.
Home Minister R.R. Patil said there was no need to panic and people should not listen to rumours. He appealed to all to cooperate with the authorities.
A couple of other motorcycles parked in the area were also damaged.
