Two people were killed in a shooting incident at the Naval Station Norfolk in the US state of Virginia Monday night, media reported Tuesday.
One Navy sailor and one civilian were killed in the incident, which occurred at about 11.20 p.m. Monday, Xinhua reported citing Virginian broadcaster WAVY News.
It added that no other injuries were reported.
Naval Station Norfolk was briefly put under lockdown, but the restriction had been lifted by 2 a.m. Tuesday, according to a statement on the Facebook page of Naval Station Norfolk.
US Navy security forces have responded to the shooting and an investigation was under way, the statement said.
