Two foreign guerrillas belonging to the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) group were killed in a gunfight with the security forces Saturday in Jammu and Kashmir's Baramulla district.
A senior police officer told IANS: "Two militants who were hiding in the house of one Mohammad Shaban Lone son-in-law of Abdul Satar Lone in Rehmatabad village near Sopore town have been killed today in an encounter.
"Personnel of the state police, Rashtriya Rifles and the CRPF jointly carried out the operation against the militants after specific information about the presence of militants in the village."
The slain guerrillas were foreigners, police said, adding that they were identified as Saad and Numan.
