Two Maoist guerrillas were arrested and landmines were recovered in different parts of Jharkhand on Monday, police said.
Patrika Toppo, the self-styled second-in-command of Maoist organisation Pahari Cheeta, was arrested by police in Simdega on Monday.
He was carrying a reward of Rs.2 lakh on his head, and was wanted in more than 30 cases.
Police arrested another Maoist belonging to the People's Liberation Front of India from Gumla. Four rifle and cartridges were seized from him.
Police said landmines were recovered from the Harindega jungle of Ramgarh district, and were defused by the bomb disposal squad.
