Two more swine flu cases were reported Thursday in Himachal Pradesh taking the total number of positive cases in the hill state to 14, a health official here said.
The new cases were reported at Rajendra Prasad Medical College and Hospital at Tanda town in Kangra district, state surveillance officer Rajesh Guleri told IANS.
Two patients have died so far, one each in Rajendra Prasad Medical College and in Indira Gandhi Medical College and Hospital in Shimla.
Guleri said 14 out of the total 55 suspected cases have been found positive for this disease.
The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has approved the setting up of central virology laboratories in the state for detection of swine flu and other related diseases and a provision of Rs.5 crore has also been made in this regard, a government statement said.
