Two new courts will start functioning in Gurgaon's Sohna subdivision from Sep 18 to provide speedy and inexpensive justice to litigants, an official said Saturday.
District and Sessions Judge Shekher Dhawan said the Punjab and Haryana High Court, Chandigarh acceded to the public demand for creation of courts at Sohna, 26 km from the city bus stand.
"It was decided in principle to create two civil courts in Sohna. High court has posted Rajesh Kumar Yadav as subdivisional judicial magistrate-cum-additional civil judge (SD), Sohna whereas Saurabh Rana, posted as civil judge (junior division)-cum-judicial magistrate first class at Gurgaon has been posted as such at Sohna," he said.
He said by creating the courts in Sohna, litigant public of Sohna tehsil would be benefited. These courts shall take up 4,600 cases of Sohna tehsil which were pending at Gurgaon.
