Abu Dhabi, Oct 30 (IANS/WAM) Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has affirmed the country's support for the Spanish government's effort to maintain national unity after the Catalan Parliament voted to unilaterally declare independence last week.
The Crown Prince in a phone call with Spain's King Felipe VI said that the UAE was closely following up the alarming developments taking place in Spain underlining the necessity of resorting to dialogue in line with the Spanish constitution, the report said on Monday.
He said the talks between the two sides should take place in a way that preserves the unity of the Kingdom of Spain and should be based on laws and legislation currently in place.
