Amman (Jordan), June 13 (IANS/WAM) The Al Maktoum Foundation of the UAE will build a maternity hospital in Al Zarqa province in Jordan.
The hospital -- to be named "Al Maktoum Charity Hospital for Obstetrics and Gynecology" -- will be sponsored by Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, deputy ruler of Dubai and minister of finance.
The foundation will also set up a school for children with special needs.
In 2003, a centre for cerebral palsy in Al Zarqa was built with a donation from the Al Maktoum Foundation for the Association for Cerebral Palsy Care Foundation in Jordan.
