UAE Red Crescent receives $40,000 in aid

Abu Dhabi, Dec 28 (IANS/WAM) The United Arab Emirates (UAE) Red Crescent Authority has received a $40,000 donation from Exxon (Al-Khalij) Inc to support its humanitarian programmes.

Rashid Mubarak Al-Mansouri, deputy secretary-general for local affairs at the UAE Red Crescent Authority, received a cheque for AED 150,000 (around $40,838) from Hatem Shaker, vice president Exxon (Al Khalij), public and government affairs last week.

Al-Mansouri hailed Exxon's initiative and its positive response towards Red Crescent's programmes in the humanitarian field.
