A National Investigation Agency (NIA) court here on Tuesday extended by 14 days the judicial remand of a Pakistani Lashkar-e-Tabia (LeT) terrorist and five other accused in the August 5 Udhampur terror attack.
"The NIA designate court extended the remand of Pakistani LeT terrorist Muhammad Naveed and his five accomplices by 14 days," a senior police officer told IANS here.
LeT terrorists, Naveed and Noman, both Pakistanis, attacked a Border Security Force bus in Udhampur district in Jammu and Kashmir state on August 5, killing two troopers and injuring 11 others.
Noman was killed on the spot while Naveed had escaped to a nearby village in Udhampur district where villagers overpowered him and handed him over to police.
On sustained custodial interrogation of Naveed, NIA arrested five Kashmiris who had facilitated the attack by carrying the two terrorists and their weapons from Kulgam district in Kashmir to Udhampur in Jammu in a fruit truck.
