Aditya Birla Group company UltraTech Cement on Monday reported an increase of 3.07 percent in its consolidated net profit for the second quarter of the current fiscal.
The company said its net profit after taxes, minority interest and share of profit of associates stood at Rs.426.97 crore for the quarter ended September 30, from Rs.414.24 crore during the like period of the previous fiscal.
According to a regulatory filing with the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), the company's total income increased by 4.11 percent to Rs.6,058.16 crore for the quarter under review from Rs.5,818.73 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2014.
However, on a standalone basis, the country's largest cement manufacturer's net profit declined by 3.94 percent in the quarter under review.
The second quarter net profit stood at Rs.393.89 crore from Rs.410.05 crore for corresponding period of last fiscal.
Nevertheless, the company's total income rose by 4.09 percent at Rs.5,725.87 crore during the quarter under review from Rs.5,500.69 crore.
The company's scrip at the BSE slipped by 1.76 percent at Rs.2,903.10 from its previous close of Rs.2,955.05 per equity share.
