Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav on Friday ordered for setting up of a three-member monitoring group to ensure that priority projects meet deadline, an official said.
Chief Secretary Alok Ranjan was asked to constitute the group, he said. The group would monitor priority projects on a regular basis and would apprise the chief minister every month.
The official said the chairman of the project monitoring group would be the chief secretary, while the principal secretary (finance) and the secretary to the chief minister would be the other members.
Projects among others which would be monitored by the group are the Agra-Lucknow Greenfield Express-way, Janeshwar Mishra Park (Lucknow), IT City (Lucknow), Lucknow Cancer Institute, Inner Ring Road (Agra), Lion Safari (Etawah), development work in old Lucknow and four-laning of all roads at district headquarters.
