A suspect accused of killing at least nine people in a college in Oregon state in the US has committed suicide, authorities said.
The suspect, identified as Chris Harper Mercer, 26, was said to have 14 firearms.
He broke into the college on Thursday morning with half-a-dozen weapons. The shooting left a professor and eight students dead and injured at least seven people.
The suspect was a student at Umpqua Community College in Roseburg where the shooting took place, Efe news agency quoted county Sheriff John Hanlin as saying on Saturday.
Preliminary investigations indicate two police officers came into the classroom and began a firefight with the suspect, Hanlin said.
