US Vice President Joe Biden is to visit India in the third week of July and an advance team of US officials is in India to prepare for the visit that comes a month after that of US Secretary of State John Kerry, an official said Monday.
External affairs ministry spokesperson Syed Akbaruddin, at a media briefing here, said that "an advance team (of US officials) in in Delhi, and they are working out the details" of the visit.
The visit of Biden had been announced by Kerry, who was in India late last month for the fourth edition of the India-US Strategic Dialogue.
Kerry had said the US vice president would come to keep up the momentum in India-US ties.
