Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) opener Robin Uthappa looked confident that his side could register their second win in a row after amassing 177/6 in 20 overs against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) here on Saturday.
"I think we will defend it," Uthappa said at the mid-innings break.
Speaking on the wicket at the Eden Gardens, Uthappa who played a handy knock of 35 said: "It is a two paced wicket, some balls are coming quicker than normal while some are stopping, we had to make sure we had wickets in hand towards the end and that's what we did and we are happy with the score."
"We thought of getting to 160, 170 which I thought would be a very good score and we got to 177, which is above par I guess," he added.
It remains to be seen if the KKR bowlers can join the party and defend the formidable score.
