Valdes' injury deprives him Monaco deal

Monaco, July 4 (IANS/EFE) AS Monaco FC vice-president Vadim Vasilyev has said that his club will not sign former Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes due to his knee injury.

The 32-year-old keeper tore the anterior cruciate ligament of his right knee in March, reports EFE.

"We negotiated with Valdes but he's injured, he can't join us," Vasilyev said.
