Mollifying its dissatisfied ally VCK, the DMK Saturday offered one more Lok Sabha seat to the Dalit party. With this, the VCK will contest two of the state's 39 constituencies.
A joint statement issued by the DMK and VCK said the latter has also been allotted Tiruvallur constituency near Chennai.
The VCK had demanded five seats but was given only one: Chidambaram constituency.
The DMK has concluded seat-sharing deals with Muslim outfits MMK and IUML and Dalit parties VCK and PT. Barring VCK, all others have got one seat each to contest in Tamil Nadu.
