Venezuela's Caciques defeated Azerbaijan's Baku Fires, runner-up of Season 4, in their second match at World Series of Boxing (WSB) Season 5.
Sunday's result came as a surprise, considering Venezuela lost 0-5 in their opening match, reports Xinhua.
The fights were held in Jose Maria Vargas Stadium in La Guaira, capital of Venezuela's northwest state of Vargas.
Venezuelan boxers Gabriel Mestre (69 kg), Eduard Bermudez (52) and Albert Ramirez (81) all defeated their Azerbaijan's rivals, giving the South American country the victory.
After this victory, Venezuela's Caciques will travel to Miami, to face American team Knockouts Jan 31.
Then they will face Puerto Rico's Hurricanes Feb 7 and Argentina's Condors Feb 14.
