E-commerce major Flipkart on Sunday announced appointment of Sriram Venkataraman as chief financial officer (CFO) for its commerce platform and Pramod Jain as vice president and head of taxation.
Sriram will head all aspects of the finance function for the platform and will be responsible for driving the business, the company said in a release.
"We are very excited to have Sriram on board with us. His experience in handling diverse roles and sharp business acumen will be a great benefit to the company," said Flipkart's CFO Sanjay Baweja.
The statement said Sriram has over 19 years of experience in Unilever, handling a variety of leadership and operational responsibilities. He was last head of sales (finance) in Hindustan Unilever.
Jain will play a key role in engaging the tax teams with revenue and government authorities, the company said.
"Pramod joins us with very high credentials and the benefit of great exposure in his earlier stints with organizations of repute. His unconventional approach to solving problems will definitely play a key role in setting high standards in the industry," said Baweja.
Prior to Flipkart, Jain has worked with telecom tower major Indus Towers, a joint venture of Airtel, Vodafone and Idea, as vice president (taxation) for over five years.
