A two-day meeting of the governing body of VHP saints will begin here Saturday to discuss their response in the wake of Uttar Pradesh government banning two of its programmes in the state since August as well as construction of the Ram temple at Ayodhya.
"The steps taken by the UP government will come up for discussion during the meeting," said a Vishwa Hindu Parishad official said.
The Akhilesh Yadav government had banned VHP's "Sankalp Sabha" scheduled for Friday at Ayodhya.
It had also banned VHP's "84-kosi Parikrama" in August. The VHP has been critical of the Samajwadi Party government for its moves to ban the organisation's programmes.
The VHP official said that the meeiting of "sant kendriya margdarshak mandal" will also discuss the issue of "construction of grand temple at Ayodhya."
