Leading multiple-format media player Viacom18 has teamed up with the department of industrial policy and promotions' (DIPP) #StartupIndia initiative and is launching outreach programme "MTV KICKSTART" for young entrepreneurs," it was announced on Thursday.
"I am excited about our association with Viacom18's MTV for instituting a platform called MTV KICKSTART," said DIPP secretary Amitabh Kant in a statement.
MTV KICKSTART aims to bridge the gap between ideas and investors and help young entrepreneurs fulfil their entrepreneurial dreams.
"Through the launch of MTV KICKSTART, we are delighted to partner with #StartUpIndia to cultivate a culture of innovation within India and help young minds create exciting new ventures that drive India's growth story," said Viacom18 CEO Sudhanshu Vats in the statement.
Slated to be delivered through television, web, mobile and social media, MTV KICKSTART will educate young minds via informal interactions with startup founders, investors and others.
Launched as an annual property, MTV KICKSTART will also translate into reality show where budding entrepreneurs will compete for investments in their ideas.
