Vicente Calderon's 50th anniversary is historic moment: Simeone

Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone on Saturday said the 50th anniversary of Vicente Calderon stadium is "a historic moment" for the Spanish club.

At a press conference on the eve of Sunday's La Liga clash against Valencia, the Argentine coach said this moment will be "surely historic" as the club will install giant screens for fans,reports Efe.

The Vicente Calderon, which was opened in 1966, will open its gates on Saturday and Sunday to celebrate the 50th anniversary.

The visitors will have access to the stands, benches, tunnel of dressing rooms, press room, dressing rooms, presidential box and VIP lounge, while the entry will be through gate 34.
