Vietnam tied with the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) 1-1 on Tuesday in a friendly match before the Asian Cup.
After a goalless first half, Tien Linh scored first for Vietnam as he beat the offside trap to take a 1-0 lead in the 55th minute, reports Xinhua news agency.
In the 82nd minute, Jong Il Gwan finally found a chance to tie it 1-1 with a curved free-kick. Gwan also scored in the first half but was ruled offside in the 24th minute.

The 2019 Asian Cup will be held from January 5 to February 1 in the United Arab Emirates. Vietnam are in Group D with Iraq, Iran and Yemen, while the DPRK are in Group E with Saudi Arabia, Lebanon and Qatar.
